Creaminess without compromise

When Heman went vegan, he thought his ice cream and cheese eating days were over. The early plant-based options were all disappointing. As the market grew, he did find some brands he liked, but one by one, they changed. Recipes shifted to use cheaper ingredients. Taste and texture were inconsistent. They were cutting corners.

Heman was frustrated, but with decades of experience in the food industry, both in retail and as a vegan distributor, he realized that he was in a unique position to actually do something about it. He knew all about the ingredients, the farmers, and the producers. He knew the difference between real vanilla and vanilla flavor. And most importantly, he knew what great ice cream and cheese should be like. Rich, creamy, and satisfying.

“If I'm going to spend time and EFFORT on this, I want to make it the best. Dairy or no Dairy."

With that declaration, R&D began. He leveraged his relationships with organic farmers to source the finest coconut and cashew bases, and engineered recipes with real ingredients and zero compromises.

The first test was food service. If they didn't satisfy the discerning chefs or Portland, a city known for its competitive food culture, then they weren't ready. It took many revisions and experiments, but the final results were worth it. They were a massive hit.

And so, Rose City Creamery was born. Named in honor of our hometown, every product is a promise: Real food, made with real ingredients, and a creaminess that surprises even dairy lovers. We are so excited to finally share them with you. Join us and savor the taste we've all been waiting for.
